In this position, you will bypass small residential cargo vans to take the wheel of a massive 16-to-26-foot commercial straight truck. This vehicle allows you to transport significantly higher volumes of palletized freight, focusing on heavy commercial, industrial, and B2B deliveries. Box Truck Operations
- Commercial Driving Mastery: Safely navigate a massive box truck through tight industrial parks, complex alleyways, and congested commercial loading docks. Master the use of oversized mirrors and hydraulic liftgates.
- High-Volume Freight Execution: Utilize manual and electric pallet jacks to maneuver heavy, palletized freight in and out of your cargo bay. You will systematically load and retrieve packages weighing up to 150 lbs.
- DOT Compliance: As a commercial box truck operator, you are strictly bound by Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. You will conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and manage your digital Hours of Service (HOS).
